Sphaerocobaltite (also spelled spherocobaltite) is a rare carbonate mineral and the mineral form of cobalt(II) carbonate.Spherocobaltite is extremely rare and is valued by collectors for its striking magenta to rose-red color. Gentle Cleaning: To remove dust, use a soft-bristled toothbrush. If a deeper clean is necessary, a brief dip in room-temperature water with a drop of mild, pH-neutral dish soap is generally safe, pat dry immediately.
Light Sensitivity: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the intense magenta color of some specimens to fade or alter over time. It is best displayed in a low-UV or shaded environment.
